This vintage Rustic Farmhouse stoneware jug is a rare example of early Hull Pottery, produced in the 1920s. The form is classic utilitarian ware, intended for kitchen or farm use, w/a warm brown glaze & functional pouring spout. The original wooden stopper & wire/wood handle are still intact.The base is clearly impressed w/ a rectangular stamp featuring a capital “H”, consistent w/Hull’s early marks before they transitioned to their decorative art pottery.
